Rare Grades and Single Estate — What Defines Luxury Ceylon Tea

Luxury Ceylon tea is defined by rarity, provenance, and the quality of the leaf itself — not by flavouring or blending. Samley's Luxury collection focuses on grades that represent the pinnacle of Sri Lanka's tea craft.

Silver Tips white tea is the rarest and most delicate grade — hand-plucked single buds processed with minimal handling to preserve a very pale, almost champagne-like liquor with subtle floral sweetness and exceptional antioxidant concentration. Golden Tips is equally rare, distinguished by a golden-amber liquor with honey, peach, and light caramel notes. Both grades are high-grown and available in extremely limited quantities.

The collection also includes Wiry Lady OP1 — a long, wiry whole-leaf grade from low-grown estates with a deep golden-orange liquor and rich malty character — and Delicate Brew FBOP, a semi-leaf grade with full body and smooth structure. Additional luxury variants include Royal Tea (OP infused with lavender, lemongrass, apple, spearmint, and hibiscus) and specialty hand-rolled preparations.
