"Infusing Inspiration, Nourishing Connection — Sip, Savour, Thrive with Our Tea."
Not Just a Tea Exporter.
A Trade Partner.
Samley Teas is a Sri Lankan export-oriented enterprise built around an authentic portfolio of Ceylon teas, blended infusions, and complementary Sri Lankan products. Rooted in origin and refined through manufacturing expertise, we operate at the intersection of orthodox tradition and modern innovation — continuously adapting blends, formats, and packaging to meet how international markets actually buy and consume tea today.
Our commitment to integrity, corporate ethics, and professional excellence sets the benchmark for everything we undertake — from plantation partnerships to private label collaborations. The result: Samley operates not merely as a tea exporter, but as a trusted global trade partner whose name carries weight in the documentation, audits, and contracts that move tea internationally.

Why Ceylon Tea Stands Apart
Sri Lanka, globally renowned as the home of Ceylon Tea, offers an unparalleled terroir shaped by elevation, monsoon climate, and artisanal expertise. From high-grown brisk liquors of Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula, and Uva, to bold low-grown teas from Ruhuna, Samley sources and curates teas representing the full spectrum of Sri Lanka's six legendary regions.
Arguably the Finest Tea in the World
Ceylon Tea has earned its global reputation through an uncompromising commitment to quality, origin integrity, and artisanal tradition. It is not merely a beverage — it is a geographically distinctive product shaped by nature and mastery.
A Terroir That Cannot Be Replicated
Grown between 3,000–8,000 ft above sea level, Sri Lanka's highland climate produces a brightness and complexity found nowhere else on earth. Each region — Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula, Uva — imparts its own unmistakable character.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Sri Lanka remains globally respected for its orthodox tea manufacturing process and traditional hand-plucking methods — selecting only the finest two leaves and a bud. This meticulous approach preserves leaf integrity and cup character.
Ozone Friendly & Ethically Produced
Sri Lanka is recognized for producing ozone-friendly tea, cultivated without methyl bromide fumigation. This reinforces Ceylon Tea's standing as a responsibly produced agricultural commodity aligned with global environmental standards.
The Lion Logo — A Mark of Authenticity
The Lion Logo, issued and regulated by the Sri Lanka Tea Board, is an internationally recognized symbol of quality and origin authenticity. Only teas that are 100% Pure Ceylon Tea, packed in Sri Lanka, and meeting strict quality standards are permitted to bear this mark. It is more than a logo — it is a guarantee.
Built for Scale,
Engineered for Consistency.
Tea blending is both craftsmanship and precision science. Our mastery in blending and packaging guarantees consistency, character, and cup integrity — evaluated by experienced tasters who measure brightness, aromatic complexity, mouthfeel, and infusion strength on every batch. The result is a cup that's distinguished and memorable, whether destined for boutique retail shelves or international bulk consignments.
Built Around People —
Ours and Yours.
At Samley, people are at the centre of everything we do. From plantation partners to global distributors, from factory floor teams to the consumers who eventually pour the cup — our ecosystem is built on mutual respect and shared growth.
We take pride in fostering gender inclusivity, with 60% of our workforce comprising women, including at key managerial positions across manufacturing, administration, and quality control.
"Thriving businesses must create thriving communities."
Reaching America Through One of the Largest Distributors in the USA.
Samley has partnered with Mr. Checkout Distributors, Inc. to bring our teas and beverages to retail shelves across the United States. Since 1989, Mr. Checkout has served grocery and convenience stores nationwide through an extensive network of wagon jobbers, merchandisers, and Wholesale-to-Distributor Warehouse Companies.
A nationwide distribution network — not a franchise — putting Ceylon-grown Samley products within reach of American shoppers.
Our Pillars.
Why
Samley?
It is true — we are one among many exporters. However, our offerings are not generic or transactional. Innovation is embedded into our workflow — not treated as an afterthought. We create distinction — not duplication.
One Percent of Every Sale,
Reinvested in the World We Share.
Our pledge in practice: 1% for Impact — 1% of revenue from every Samley product sold is allocated to a dedicated CSR Fund, managed by appointed trustees and exclusively committed to supporting education for tea plantation worker children, assisting differently-abled fellow Sri Lankans, and creating access to the resources that enable dignity and independence.
Profit and purpose, we've learned, scale together. Every cup contributes to a greater cause.
Three Core Values.
Ethics & Compliance
Samley is committed to responsible corporate stewardship. We prioritize full legal compliance across export markets, food safety and hygiene protocols, occupational health & safety, anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices, and transparent commercial conduct. Our governance philosophy is simple: Integrity is non-negotiable.
Profound Mastery
Ceylon Tea is one of the world's most complex agricultural products. We respect that complexity. Our team of certified tea tasters and experienced blenders meticulously evaluates every batch — from moisture content at intake to infusion clarity in the final brew. A dedicated pursuit of excellence, not shortcuts. Consistency is our promise. Quality is our discipline.
