Hand Made Black Tea with Cinnamon -FBOP (Medium Grown)

Harvested within an hour of plucking, two leaves and a bud undergo a careful selection process for natural withering. Employing a precise hand-rolling technique, the withered tea leaves achieve the desired twist, fostering the harmonious amalgamation of crucial natural compounds. Subsequently, the rolled leaves experience fermentation and are dried at the lowest conceivable temperatures to protect the inherent flavanols. To enhance the tea's profile, essential oils are infused, imparting a distinctive cinnamon flavour and contributing to a sweet yet pronounced undertone. This distinctive method has received validation from the Tea Research Institute in Sri Lanka, attesting to an outstanding 25.60% polyphenol content.

    Tea Preparation Guide

    Water Quality & Heating

The water should be heated until a steady stream of air bubbles gently raise to the surface. At this point, the water is sufficiently heated and also has preferable oxygen content. In contrast, using water that has been held at a fierce, rolling boil can leave tea tasting dull and flat.

    • Best Water SourcesAlways use freshly drawn, cold water to prepare tea. Purified and spring water are best because they are relatively free from pollutants and other substances that can dramatically alter tea's taste.
    • Mineral ContentOn the other hand, it is preferable for the water to have some natural minerals content, as they may enhance the tea's flavour. For this reason, distilled water should be avoided since the lack of minerals will leave the tea tasting flat.
    • Avoid Pre-Heated WaterSimilarly, one should never use pre-heated water—as from the faucet, for instance. This kind of water has mostly likely been overheated, thereby losing oxygen content while picking up possibly harmful substances from the water pipes.

    Recommended Brewing Technique

Follow these simple steps for the perfect cup of tea:

    1. 1Bring the water to boiling point (100°C)
    2. 2Pour the water over 2g of Tea
    3. 3Infuse for 2-3 minutes
    • Always use freshly drawn, cold water to prepare tea
    • Never use pre-heated water as it has lost oxygen content and may contain harmful substances
    • Adjust steeping time based on personal preference and tea type
    • Follow specific brewing temperatures and times provided on individual tea product pages for optimal results
