One audit-ready source for certified organic black, green and herbal tea — grown, processed and packed in Sri Lanka.
Samley Teas is a certified organic Ceylon tea manufacturer and exporter supplying importers, distributors and private-label brands worldwide. Our organic range is produced under USDA Organic and EU Organic certification with FDA-registered, FSSC 22000 food-safety systems — so your compliance team deals with one accountable source, and every shipment arrives with the organic transaction certificate and analysis documents your market requires.
OP, BOP and BOPF grades from high-grown estates — single-origin or blended to your specification, loose leaf or cut for bagging.
GP1-grade and sencha-style organic green tea — clean, light-bodied and suited to Western retail palates.
A certified organic botanical library — chamomile, hibiscus, ginger and more — supplied loose or bagged at wholesale volumes. Consumer detail lives in our organic herbal infusions collection.
Pyramid, paper, non-woven and PLA biodegradable formats, filled and sealed under FSSC 22000 food-safety systems.
Retail-ready packets, cartons, canisters and tins finished under your brand with organic-compliant labelling and barcoding — through our private label tea manufacturing programme.
Organic claims are only as strong as the certificates and the chain of custody behind them. Samley gives buyers both — certified production at origin, and audit-ready documentation at every step between estate and shipment.
We supply importers, organic and natural-products retailers, e-commerce tea brands and HORECA distributors across North America, Europe and the Middle East. Whether you are adding an organic line to an established range or building a certified organic brand from scratch, specifications, certificates and pricing come from one manufacturer — not a chain of brokers, each adding margin and subtracting accountability.
Our organic teas are grown in Sri Lanka's recognised tea regions and processed using the orthodox method that preserves leaf integrity and authentic Ceylon character. The certified range covers black tea in OP, BOP and BOPF grades, GP1 and sencha-style green tea, and organic herbal infusions — single-origin, multi-region or blended to your recipe by our tasting team.
Every organic order is backed by the paperwork your market demands: organic transaction certificates, certificates of analysis, phytosanitary certificates and origin documentation, prepared by a team that exports to 25+ countries. Certificates and audit scope are listed on our quality and certifications page, so due diligence can start before the first sample ships.
Certified at Origin
USDA Organic and EU Organic production with FDA-registered, FSSC 22000 food-safety systems.
One Accountable Source
Manufacturer-direct supply — growing, processing, packing and export under a single roof.
Authentic Ceylon Character
Orthodox-processed teas from Sri Lanka's recognised growing regions.
Audit-Ready Documentation
Organic transaction certificates and full export paperwork with every shipment.
An organic certificate is the entry ticket; the systems behind it are what keep your brand safe. Samley holds USDA Organic and EU Organic certification on organic lines, FDA registration for the US market, and FSSC 22000 and GMP food-safety management across production. Ethical and sustainability credentials include SEDEX membership, Fairtrade certification, the Sri Lanka Tea Board's Lion Logo mark of origin and Carbon Verified status.
Each organic shipment travels with its organic transaction certificate — the document your certifier and customs broker use to verify chain of custody — alongside the certificate of analysis and phytosanitary paperwork. Scope certificates are available to your compliance team on request, before any commercial commitment.
Chain of custody is where organic programmes usually break. Each intermediary between estate and shelf adds a documentation handoff — and a point where certified and conventional lots can mingle. Because Samley grows, processes, packs and exports under one system, the organic transaction certificate that reaches your certifier describes one unbroken chain, not a relay of brokers' assurances.
From first enquiry to cleared customs, the sequence is designed so your compliance questions are answered before money moves.

We develop and ship organic samples with provisional specifications for your evaluation and your certifier's review.
Pricing & Terms
Pricing confirmed FOB Colombo or CIF your destination port, with Incoterms, timelines and documentation agreed in writing.
Certified Production
Your order is produced and packed under certified organic and FSSC 22000 systems, with lot codes assigned for traceability.
Documentation & Dispatch
Organic transaction certificate, certificate of analysis and export documents issued; shipment dispatched from Colombo.
Organic integrity is a traceability problem before it is a marketing claim. Every Samley lot carries a code linking the finished pack back to its production records, so a question from your certifier or a retailer audit is answered with documents, not assurances. Before release, every organic batch is evaluated by our experienced tea tasters against the approved sample for balance, consistency and flavour accuracy — the same discipline applied across our conventional export range.
For buyers comparing suppliers, two questions separate the field: ask for scope certificates, then ask how the supplier evidences chain of custody between estate and pack. We welcome both.
Minimums are 500 kg for bulk loose-leaf organic tea and 50,000 units for private-label finished product. First-order lead times run 6–8 weeks from approved samples and specifications; repeat orders are faster because development and documentation are already in place. Sample quantities are available before you commit to a first order.
Organic supply is priced per specification rather than from a flat rate card — grade, certification scope, bag format and packaging finish each move the number. We quote FOB Colombo or CIF your destination port, with certification and documentation costs stated transparently up front, so the landed-cost calculation your buyers run contains no surprises.
For conventional grades and container-volume programmes, the same terms apply through our bulk Ceylon tea supplier programme.
